Anushka Sharma Wedding inspired Makeup
Hi everyone. Virushka wedding is the talk of the town and it indeed was setup out of a fairytale. So was everything about Anushka's look, be it the Sabyasachi pale pink lehenga or the uncut diamond jewellery. It was elegant, understated but did not fail to make a statement. But something that really caught my eye was her minimalist, nude makeup. She sported a nude lip, bronze-y and smoke-y eyes and a lit-from-within glow. I've drawn inspiration from the look and recreated something similar. Have a look.
1. Use a drop of kumkumadi oil to hydrate your skin, also kumkumadi oil gives a little sun protection and you cannot use SPF on the wedding day as it will cause flashback in flash photography. I primed my skin using a glow imparting primer, Oriflame the ONE Illuskin primer.
2. Her base was glowy yet skin-like. I used Milani Conceal+Perfect Foundation (this one's really good for bridal makeup, no spf, high coverage and skin-like finish) mixed in with a liquid highlighter, Faces Metaliglow in Champagne variant to give a nice dewy look to the skin. This duo works excellently and the highlighter renders the foundation less tacky and almost sets it.
3.For my undereyes I used two products, one for concealing my darkcircles and one for brightening the area up. The skin-toned concealer was actually a stick foundation, the Nykaa foundation stick and the highlighting concealer was Maybelline Fit me concealer in the shade 20 Sand Sable.
4.I set the undereyes with the Maybelline Fit me compact, this one is really light weight and finely milled. It will not dry your skin out, good for dry skin. People with dry undereyes will love this.
5.Anushka did't have a sharp contour going on, rather very nicely flushed and bronzed skin. to Add a little shadow I've used the lighter and darker shades from the Sivanna Colors Compact and ever-so slightly applied it below my cheekbones using a powder brush. Also applied this to my temples.
6.For blush I've used the Maybelline V-face Blush contour in Brown which also happens to be my favourite. Anushka had a vey earthy toned blush which looked quite natural.
7.Now my favourite part and the quintessential of every bride-highlight! I used the Makeup Revolution Liquid Highlighter in champagne as the cream base(this one's pretty intense, hence used this only on my cheekbone area) followed by the highlighter in the Sivanna Colors compact(on the cheekbones, cupid's bow, bridge of my nose, above eyebrows and chin).
1.Primed the eyelid with the Maybelline concealer and set it with powder.
2.Used the shade no.1 in the crease with the help of a fulffy blending brush followed by placing the bronze shade (shade no.2) on the lid area. Anushka had a little rose-bronziness (if that's a thing) going on so I topped the bronze with shade no. 3 very lightly, it only has to impart a tinge. (Maybelline the Nudes Palette and a used and abused Lakme Quad)
3.I used my finger to apply shade no.4 to the outer V of my eye, not taking it too outward.
4.Tightlined my eyes using the Black Lakme Eyeconic Kajal. I also drew a thin to thick liner very close to my lashline, then, smudged both top as well as the bottom lashline but not too much, just sufficient to give a slight smokey effect.
5.Curled my eyelashes using the Vega eyelash curler. Then applied two coats of waterproof Mayebelline Lash Sensational mascara(you want your eyes to look flawless even after all the tears during Vidaai, don't you?).
6.For the eyebrows I used the Wet n Wild eyebrow Kit, the lighter shade followed by the wax. Anushka had quite filled eyebrows.
1.Her lips were straight up nude with pink undertone to it.
2. I used tow lip products- Note Mattemoist Lipstick in Miss Kiss topped with Wet n Wild Megalast lipstick in Bare it All.
Finally locked all of this in place and meshed it into my skin using the Makeup Revolution Pro Fix Makeup fixing spray!
