Subdued Purple Makeup Tutorial (easy makeup for beginners)

Hi everyone! I did a very subtle purple eye look (I like keeping my eyes simple as I wear thick glasses) for my birthday. The skin was kept super-duper radiant and glowy, because I love my highlighters! I have normal to dry skin and highlighters just bring back life to my skin. I have days when I love soft iridescence, but I also have my blinding highlight days- my birthday was undoubtedly one of those!

The makeup was appropriate for my dirty purple dress, read on if you'd like to know more about the details of the makeup.

Added this to give a better look at the eye makeup, pretty basic

Base-

I used the L'Oreal Paris Base Magique Transforming Smoothing Primer for keeping my makeup intact since it had to be a long day for me. I only used it on my forehead, pores around my cheek area (though I do not have a major pore issue). For foundation I used a concoction of Maybelline Fit me Matte+Poreless Foundation in 230 Natural Buff+Milani Conceal+Perfect Foundation in 02 Natural + Makeup Revolution Liquid Highlighter in Liquid Champagne.
The mixture gave me the most natural looking yet full coverage yet
reflective look to my face. I then used the bronzer from Sivanna Colors trio which is only a few shades darker than my skin, hence gives a very slight colour to the skin. For blush I used one of my favourite blush, a very small amount and light hand again, Essence Silky Touch Blush in 40- Natural Beauty (Review here).
Coming to the only part I went with a heavy hand for this makeup is the highlighter, used the Makeup Revolution Blush, Bronze & Brighten Palette in Smoulder. I wanted a
slightly warm, golden touch to my highlight, for that, I topped this highlight with very little of the Makeup Revolution Skin Kiss Highlighter in Golden Kiss. I don't enjoy this highlight a lot by it's own as it is a little chunky and dry, might accentuate texture, but I do use it as a highlight topper as the colour is really warm and pretty. And oh, the highlighting powders were applied on my cheekbones with a rather heavy hand and a light dusting above my eyebrows, chin and bridge of my nose. I did not use any concealer, just slightly added the Milani foundation on my undereyes and set it with the compact shade in the Sivanna trio. The star of the look was the PAC Microfinish Makeup Fixing Spray (Review soon!) which melted all the powders in, gave a subtle glow and locked my makeup to make it longlasting!

Eyes-

For eyeshadow I used Lakme Eyeshadow Quad in Gypsy but it is not in market anymore, but the shade I used can be easily recreated using Maybelline Blushed Nudes Palette or PAC single eyeshadow in PP 34 can be used. I used this purple shimmer eyeshadow on the inner 3/4 part of my eyelid and the dark brown shade with hefty violet undertones from Maybelline X Gigi Hadid Eyeshadow Palette in Warm on th , and mimicked the way you do eyeliners, keeping the shadow concentrated on the lower part of the eyelid near the eyelashes only. Used Lakme Absolute Shin Line in Black for my liner and coated my lashes with one coat of Maybelline Lash Sensational Mascara in the Washable version.

I filled my eyebrows in very naturally using the Maybelline X Gigi Hadid Fluffy Brow Pencil-Medium Brown (Review here).

Lips-

PAC lip liner in Mauve and my current obsession, Huda Beauty Liquid Matte in Bombshell!

That's it for this makeup breakdown. Thanks for reading!
