Wet N Wild Photo focus Dewy Primer Review (Becca backlight priming filter Dupe in India?)

Strobing has been a recent trend in the beauty world and tell me, who doesn't love glowy, wet-looking skin? In the Luxury sector, Becca backlight priming filter has been well-loved for the purpose but it's not available in India easily, to add on to it, it's hella expensive and not everyone is willing to invest so much money in a primer.

Let's move on to the review of the Wet N Wild Photofocus Dewy Primer Review and leave that discussion for later.

Price & Quantity-

Rs. 499 for 25 ml.

Packaging-

The first image itself speaks for the packaging, which is quite basic. A white coloured flattened tube with a screw cap and nozzle to dispense the product. Having said that, the packaging is not at all flimsy. The cap shuts tight and does not leak product, very travel friendly since it is a plastic tube.

My Views-

The primer has a moisturizer-like consistency (ya know what I mean?) and spreads like one on the skin. Since it is a dewy primer, it does impart a lovely glow onto the skin. When I say glowy, I'm talking about some SERIOUS GLOW. Even when the matte-est foundations are worn over this, the luminosity still peeks through. Makes the skin look very healthy. It does not have obvious shimmer in it, the glow is quite a continuous sheen (another yay). After spreading, it sets quite quickly, not tacky at all, but I did not notice any extra ease in spreading my foundation, but I don't mind that, the foundation sat really well on the top of this. It didn't make a difference in the longevity of the foundation, so if you are looking for a foundation that will makeup last longer, this is not the one. Also, girls with extremely dry skin will want to stay away from this as it might accentuate their texture, as it is not ultra- moisturizing. This is a good primer for normal to dry skin types. (Women with combination and oily skin can use this as well IF they're not afraid of the hefty radiance this primer offers.) I have normal to dry skin, and I love it!

Comparison with  Becca backlight priming filter-

I've seen and read about a lot of people comparing it with the Becca backlight priming filter and the price difference is crazy. I donot own the Becca primer but with what I've interpreted from viewing the swatches is that, 1. Both, Wet N Wild and Becca primers have a warm champagne, almost golden finish, instead of a whitish, silver-y one. They are pretty similar in shade.
2. There are not a lot of glow imparting primers available in India talking of the drugstore brands.

Looking at the factors of availability, shade & radiance and giving myself the benefit of doubt, I would pass the Wet N Wild Photofocus Dewy Primer as the closest dupe of Becca backlight priming filter in India, if not the exact dupe of the same worldwide.

Final Verdict-

9/10. Minus 1 for being a glow imparting primer but being unable to work for ultra dry and dehydrated skinned ladies, as this is what they look for. Apart from that, it's a must-have for people digging the strobing trend.

Very good for everyday usage as it is paraben-free.
